This test doesn’t ask questions: it shows you scenes. Just notice which one pulls you in. Your choices are unconscious, but they say a lot. The answer is already inside you; we just hold up the mirror.
The Five-Factor Model (Big Five): psychology’s most empirically supported personality framework. 40+ years of research, 100,000+ participants, validated across cultures.
Academic reference: Schmitt, Allik, McCrae & Benet-Martínez (2007). The Geographic Distribution of Big Five Personality Traits across 56 Nations. These reliability and validity findings refer to the Big Five model and long-form inventories.
Most personality tests ask you questions, and you give the “right” answer. Personality Compass is different: it shows you scenes. The answer is inside you.
A stormy sea, a calm lake. A crowded table, a quiet corner. Each image reflects a dimension of personality.
Drag the heart toward the scene that feels closer to you. Choosing quickly limits overthinking; your instinctive pick is less “edited”.
Read your 5-dimensional personality map. Your strengths, your blind spots, your stress map, your relationship dynamics, your career compass.
On traditional tests you’re asked whether you agree with statements like “I am an organised person.” The problem: people describe themselves not as they are, but as they wish they were. In psychology this is called social desirability bias.
Personality Compass aims to reduce that bias: you see two scenes: a tidy desk, an unmade bed. You pick whichever feels more like “home”. Your answer comes less from hunting for the “right” response and more from instinct: which limits conscious distortion.
Extra safeguard: Personality Compass measures the same dimension in two separate phases. If you give inconsistent answers a clarification round kicks in; the result becomes more reliable.
We map the five core Big Five dimensions and their subfactors in detail. You don’t land in a category: you land somewhere on an axis.
How open are you to new ideas, experiences, art? Dreamer or pragmatist?
Are you bound to the plan or to the flow? Goals or spontaneity, structure or flexibility?
Do you recharge from people or from solitude? Centre stage or quiet observer?
How do you handle conflict? Empathy or clarity, harmony or assertiveness?
How steady are you under stress? Flat emotional curve, or steep peaks and dips?
Get to know yourself first. Then, if you want, go deeper with your partner.
A 3,000+ word deep profile. Your position across the five main dimensions, the details of each subfactor, and how they show up in the important areas of your life.
See a sample report →“You stand out as someone who builds structure and keeps their word. Discipline runs high; sometimes it tips into rigidity…”
Not just “are you compatible?”: a map of how you actually work together, which patterns keep cycling, and what will nourish you both.
See a sample couple report →Complementary pull: the two of you speak different languages; one analytical, one emotional.
“The typical cycle: the Poet wants to share a feeling; the Builder offers a solution. Each gives out of love, and each misses what the other actually needs, without realising it…”
The compatibility score summarises how similar the two profiles are; it is not a prediction about the relationship. The value of the report is in the patterns it describes, not in the number.

Yes. Personality Compass is built on the Big Five (Five-Factor) personality model, the most widely accepted framework in academic psychology. This model:
Personality Compass adds visual measurement on top of this foundation to help reduce social-desirability bias.
An honest note: The reliability and validation findings above refer to the Big Five model. Personality Compass is a short, visual self-awareness tool built on that model; it is not a clinical, diagnostic, hiring, or high-stakes decision instrument. Treat your results as a starting point for self-reflection.
MBTI and similar typology tests sort people into “16 personality types”, but real personality doesn’t work that way. The scientific problems:
Big Five measures on continuous dimensions; it doesn’t pigeonhole you.
Personality Compass doesn’t ask classic questionnaire items. It works like a tournament: it shows you two scenes at a time and you pick the one that feels more like you.
This visual forced-choice approach is designed to reduce the urge to give the “right” answer and to limit overthinking.

The psychological framework of Personality Compass was developed by Dr. Huseyin Dogan, PhD, a specialist with more than 18 years of professional experience in psychological counselling and psychotherapy. That experience is shaped by the clinical observations gathered across thousands of therapy sessions, combined with an academic psychology background.
Dr. Dogan completed his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies in psychological counselling, and pursued postdoctoral work in clinical psychology in the United States. As a Fulbright scholar he has worked as both researcher and academic in the field of psychology, and has taught courses and given trainings in psychology in both Turkey and the United States.
In his clinical work, he draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, psychoanalytically oriented therapy, integrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, hypnosis, and trauma-focused approaches. Personality Compass distils this clinical and academic background into a clear, visual, applicable experience focused on personality awareness.
